Call for Presenters

Leaders of Color are essential in shaping an equitable and inclusive education system. As leaders, we elevate student voices, prioritize wellness, and ensure that teaching and learning reflect the diverse needs of our communities. By supporting each other, we build stronger schools where equity, student empowerment, and culturally responsive practices thrive.

We are seeking presenters who can lead professional development focused on student voice, wellness, equity, and instructional practices. If you're passionate about uplifting students and want to share strategies, grow, support and sustain as Leaders of Color and as educators. Please complete this Call for Presenters Proposal Form to be part of this important work!

William Jackson (Small)

Dr. William Jackson, Director of Teaching and Learning(P-12), Bellevue School District

As a dedicated educational leader and relationship builder, Dr. William Jackson centers his "why" on justice, equity, access, and radical love, bringing this vision to life by amplifying student voices in pursuit of justice, equity, and access.

Dr. Jackson is a passionate advocate for instructional leadership and leadership development, a commitment showcased in his role as a principal mentor and instructor in the University of Washington's Education Department. There, he teaches pivotal courses like Shaping Culture and Leading Change in the Danforth Principal Preparation Program and Transformative Teaching and Learning in the Leadership for Learning Superintendent Preparation Program.

His dedication to inclusive and transformative leadership has been recognized through notable honors, including the 2024 Washington State Secondary Principal of the Year award for his service and leadership as former Principal of Nathan Hale High School. In 2023, he also received the Foster Award for Educational Excellence from the Alliance for Education, celebrating his commitment to justice, access, inclusion, and equity.

Now stepping into a systems-level role, Dr. Jackson is excited to continue learning, growing, and building meaningful relationships as Director of Teaching and Learning with the Bellevue School District, where he remains committed to centering student voice, equity, access, and justice in all facets of his work.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

All refund requests must be made in writing.
  • Full Refund: Requests must be received 20 business days before the workshop. 
  • 50% Refund: Requests must be received 10-19 business days before the workshop. 
  • No Refund: No-shows or cancellation requests received within 10 business days of the workshop will not receive a refund.
Workshop Series Refund: Refund requests for workshop series packages must be received 20 business days before the first session in the package.
